Short Introduction

Dr. Zulfiqar Hasan has been working at City University since September 16, 2023, as a Professor of Finance and Head of the Department of Business Administration. Before joining City University, he was working as a Professor of Finance, at the Department of Business Administration, Bangladesh Islami University (BIU), Dhaka. Professor Hasan also served as the Program Coordinator of the MBA program at Northern University Bangladesh, Dhaka. He was awarded his Ph.D. from the Department of AIS, Islamic University, Kushtia, Bangladesh on Bank Conversion. He obtained his MBA in Finance from the London School of Commerce (LSC), London, UK affiliated by Charles Sturt University (CSU). His main research interests are in Investment and Portfolio Management, Corporate Finance, International Finance, Banking Industry, Blue Economy, Green Financing, Islamic Finance and Banking, Financial Markets, Capital Markets in Bangladesh, and Financial Criminology. He is also a technical analyst of stocks. He has credited two books and a huge number of articles published in reputed national and international journals. His “Principles of Islamic Economics” book is used as the textbook in the Dept. of Banking & Insurance of the University of Dhaka. Professor Hasan visited United Kingdom (UK), Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), India etc.
