City University is one of the UGC approved leading private universities of Bangladesh which was established by Late Alhaj Mockbul Hossain MP as founder chairman on 06 August 2002. The intention of establishing this University is to spread higher education in the field of Science ,Engineering, Technology, Business and Humanities to the financially under privileged meritorious students of the country.

The vision of City University is to create a culture of excellence in higher education & research work and to produce high quality human resources to cater the growing need of manpower for the socio-Economic development of the nation for the 21st century and beyond.

The hallmark of City University is strict adherence to program schedule and in-time completion of the curriculum, while quality education is the professed goal. City University has already proved its credibility in the national academia and is also working hard to achieve its place in the global arena. With the continuous endeavour from all member of City University, I hope this university will very soon emerge as a ‘Centre of Excellence’ in the field of education at home and abroad.
