To pursue this goal City University was founded in 2002, as a non-profit academic institution. The Department of Law of the University was established in the year 2009 under the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. Throughout the world especially in Common Law System, law as a discipline has its own intrinsic features and that's why it needs separate care. Law is thought in separate schools or faculties within the broader framework of the university. The department aims at imparting qualitative education to conform the needs of the changing society. It not only helps one to pass law exams but also make one effective to the society. The department imparts practical learning through clinical legal education which helps students to sharpen analytical, logical and practical skills that harmonizing qualitative and quantitative approaches. The department has well educated, skilled, experienced and devoted faculty members. Most of the faculties are from renowned universities. Besides, there are visiting renowned faculty members from academia, judiciary, legal practitioners and human rights activists to expose real life scenario to the students. The department of law is committed to cater a devoted group of students with high moral values for the nation.
