Dr. Ranojit Kumar Dutta is an Assistant Professor & Coordinator, at the General Education Department (GED), Faculty of Science and Engineering, City University where he has been teaching since 2009. Dr. Dutta received his Ph.D. in Hydraulic Engineering from China Three Gorges University (CTGU), College of Hydraulic & Environmental Engineering, Yichang, Hubei, China. He also received an M.Phil. in Physics from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Department of Physics, Dhaka 1000, Bangladesh. He obtained M.Sc and B.Sc (Honours) in Physics from the National University, Bangladesh. Dr. Dutta was a research associate, at the College of Resources & Environmental Engineering, Hubei University of Technology (HBUT), Wuhan, 430068, Hubei, China from June 01, 2017, to July 31, 2018. Dr. Dutta was a teaching & research associate, at the College of Hydraulic and Environmental Engineering, China Three Gorges University (CTGU), Yichang, 443002, Hubei, China from September 01, 2014, to May 31, 2017. He was a Teaching Assistant (TA), at the Department of Physics, Faculty of Engineering, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Dhaka 1000. He was appointed as a lecturer (Physics) in the Department of Textile Engineering, Faculty of Science and Engineering at City University, Dhaka, Bangladesh in 2009. He got a promotion to Assistant Professor in the Department of Textile Engineering, Faculty of Science and Engineering at City University on June 01, 2013. His research interests are in the area of CFD, Hydrodynamics, Numerical and Physical Modeling of Hydraulic Structures, Thin films, Optoelectronic devices, Nanotechnology, and Renewable energy. He has developed (partially) a spray pyrolysis deposition chamber for thin film deposition in the Department of Physics, Faculty of Engineering, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Dhaka 1000. Dr. Dutta designed a Curtain Weirs that was a hydraulic structure for controlling algal blooms in lakes and reservoirs, College of Hydraulic & Environmental Engineering, China Three Gorges University (CTGU), Yichang, Hubei, China. His research work has been published in different peer-reviewed journals. He was born in Jeshore, Bangladesh, on July 07, 1982. He is a member of the African Scientists Directory, Academy of Science of South Africa (ASSAf). He is a life member of the BUET Alumni Association (BUETAA), Bangladesh (ID: 20091012001L), the European Water Resources Association (EWRA) (ID: 15090401), and The International NanoScience Community, Nanopaprika. Dr. Dutta is an International Scientific Committee member of the Hydraulic and Civil Engineering Technology (HCET), at Henan Polytechnic University, China.
