Rubaiya Tabassum is a lecturer at Pharmacy Department of City University. She completed her Bachelor of Professional Pharmacy (B.Pharm) from University of Asia Pacific and obtained her Master degree in medicine from Dong-A University, Busan, South Korea. During her academic life she is awarded GKS Scholarship by Dong-A University, South Korea and NRF fellowship by DGIST, South Korea. She worked as a research assistant at DGIST (Daegu Gyeongbuk Institute of Science and Technology), South Korea. Also, she worked as a research fellow under the project of National Research Foundation after completion of her Master degree. She showed that caspase-3 positive cell death in spinal cord in electroporated chick model (ALS disease model). She also observed that how GPLD1 and TFAM rescue cell death in ALS disease model after electroporation. She is the main author of four articles published in Q1 and Q2 journal named Neural Regeneration Research, International Journal of Medical Sciences, Anatomy and Cell Biology. She participated in research training at Kyunghee University and DGIST. She attended several scientific seminars and presented Scientific poster (Electroporation of ALS gene in chick embryo model system) in international Conferences, Korean society for brain and neural science (KSBNS).
