Md. Jahir Alam has joined as a Lecturer in the Department of Pharmacy, City University on 16 February 2024. He is a registered Pharmacist (A-6302) by the Pharmacy Council of Bangladesh. In the professional track, Md. Jahir Alam joined as a pharmacist at Neuron Healthcare Center, Dhamrai, Dhaka in March 2014 and served till March 2016. His responsibilities were evaluation of prescription to ensure the rational use of drugs and conduction of health survey. During this time he had also been working as an Instructor & Head (part time), Dept. of Health Technology & Services, Rome American Medical Institute, Dhamrai, Dhaka. After that, he joined as an Executive, QA at The ACME Laboratories Ltd, Dhamrai, Dhaka and worked there from April 2016 to January 2018. After resigning from ACME he served at the UN-IOM (Cox’s Bazar, BD) as the Chief Pharmacist for 04 months. Then he worked at the Pharmacology Lab, Dept of Pharmacy, JU as a Research Associate. He joined as a Sr. Executive, QA at Advent Pharma Limited, Dhamrai, Dhaka on July 2020; later he worked there as Assistant Manager, QA for 2 years. Before joining at City University he was working as Deputy Manager and In-Charge of QA at Advent Pharma Limited till February 2024.
