Md. Zahidur Rahman is a passionate and committed “Assistant Professor” having 9+ years of professional experience in teaching Finance and relevant subjects to undergraduate and graduate students from diverse backgrounds. Mr. Rahman achieved his Master’s degree and Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Jagannath University, Bangladesh in the year 2013 and 2012 respectively. He is a proficient public speaker and adept at sharing knowledge with varying audiences. He has a strong command of curriculum design, lesson integration and student development. He is adept with innovative instructional methods and technology, and highly knowledgeable of state learning standards and assessments. Prior to this academic pursuit, he started his career in the banking sector. Although it was for a short period of time, he carried his understanding of the banking sector and practical knowledge into his academic endeavors. Mr. Rahman has great research interest in Banking Efficiency, Financial Markets and Institutions, Investments, Corporate Finance, Financial Risk Management and Analysis, and Behavioral Finance. He has published quality research papers in the reputed international journals. Besides carrying out teaching and research duties, Mr. Rahman is a good administrator as he served the department as a “BBA Program Coordinator” for almost two years. Mr. Rahman is also recognized as a good organizer as he formed the Finance Department Cultural Club (FDCC) at Jagannath University and organized a good number of cultural events during his stay in the University. He is also the moderator of the Business Department Cultural Club (BDCC) at City University.
